Leonardo’s Last Supper is an absolute masterpiece – one that should be viewed from a different perspective, taking into account the historical and religious context in which it was created.

We will then examine some of the preparatory sketches for the painting and compare them with other works that depict the same iconographic theme. This will allow us to fully understand the profound theological meaning and the innovative artistic and compositional choices of the piece.

To conclude, the visit includes an overview of the Dominican religious complex of Santa Maria delle Grazie, providing a complete and well-rounded experience.

Since visitors can admire the masterpiecefor only 15 minutes, the tour begins with an in-depth introduction to the period and the artist, allowing for a better understanding of the work. The explanation is given either inside the church or outdoors, depending on the time of day, so appropriate attire is required, both for the sacred setting and for the season.
